Interpreter
Interpreters in all different shapes and sizes
Diversity is what it is all about – that and specialisation. That is why there are all different sorts of interpreters:
- Interpreters for congresses work in groups of minimum two per active language. They translate the words of the speaker simultaneously into the required target language.
- Industrial interpreters should not be dismissed as an unnecessary luxury when you are installing new machines or product lines on the shop floor. They will translate the instructions provided by the technicians into clear, technical language.
- Certified legal interpreters provide assistance for you in court.
- Chuchotage or whispered interpreting is something you are probably familiar with from watching the news. The simultaneous interpreter listens to the speech and whispers the translation into the ear of the person listening.
